Rev. David Richard Boisclair
David Richard Boisclair was born on Sept. 11, 1955 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was adopted by Franklin and Ruth Boisclair of Greenfield, Wisconsin, who later adopted Lisa Ann Boisclair in 1959. David was baptized into the Christian faith, Dec. 7, 1955 by Pastor M.A. Fenner. The Boisclair family were members of Grace Lutheran Church, Milwaukee (LCMS). David’s mother Ruth went home to her Lord on July 22, 1968. David was confirmed on Pentecost, May 25, 1969 by Pastor James P. Wuebben. It was that year that the Boisclairs moved to Muskego, Wisconsin. David’s father married June Anne Clayton on Dec. 12, 1970. David graduated from Muskego High School on June 3, 1973. He attended Marquette University, Milwaukee (1973-74) and UW Wisconsin, La Crosse (Fall, 1974). It was in the Fall of 1974 that David decided to study for the Lutheran ministry. He transferred to Concordia College, Milwaukee in January, 1975 to prepare for the pre-ministerial program at Concordia Senior College, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He attended there 1975-1977, graduating from college with a B.A. in 1977. He attended Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri (1977-1982), serving his vicarage at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Quincy, Michigan (1980-81). He graduated from the seminary with an M.Div. in 1982. He was ordained into the office of the holy ministry on July 18, 1982. He served St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Jonesburg, Missouri from 1982-92, and Bethesda and Faith Lutheran Churches, Pine Lawn and Velda City (Greater) St. Louis from 1994-2023. He received his Master’s of Sacred Theology degree (S.T.M.) in Systematic Theology from Concordia Seminary in 1999. David’s stepmother and his father were taken home to the Lord in 2003 and 2004 respectively. He has served as circuit counselor for the St. Louis North Circuit until the circuits were realigned. His congregations (Bethesda and Faith) were placed into the St. Louis—Overland Circuit (Circuit 22) of the Missouri District of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod of which he is presently the circuit visitor. On October 9, 2023 he was elected and called senior pastor of The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, Overland, Missouri by its voters’ assembly, and he accepted this call officially on October 12, 2023. He was installed on November 19, 2023.
